
NR. CHRISTINE W. HAYES:
NR. Christine W. Hayes joined International F. & A.M. Masons Inc., and the Order
of Eastern Star in April 1961 in Miami, FL. She was a member of United Masons of which she joined in 1957 while
living in St. Petersburg, FL. Upon moving
to Miami, she became a member of Melzie Coleman #5. Sis. Gussie Nelson was
the Worthy Matron and Sis. Madeline Williams was the Grand Matron at that time. She moved back to St. Petersburg in 1966 and
became a member of Electa #106 in 1974. She served as
Financial Secretary of the chapter for two years until she was elected Worthy Matron in December 1976. She still serves as
W.M. of that chapter. NR. Hayes served as the Grand
Recording Secretary under Sis. Pinkie McDonald, Grand Matron. She also served as the Associate District Grand Matron for Dist.
#26 in St. Petersburg working with Sis. Antoinette Davis, District Matron for five years.
When Sis. Fannie Simmons became Grand Matron, she kept NR. Hayes in the position of Grand Recording Secretary for two years
before appointing her as the Associate Grand Matron of the state. She served in this capacity for four years. During that
time, NR. Hayes set up the first Grand Associate Matrons Council in FL. In 1983, NR. Hayes was elected and became the Grand Matron of Florida under Sis. Parnella Tubbs Supreme Grand Matron. On the Supreme level, NR. Hayes served as the Vice President of the
Grand Matrons Council with Sis. Louise Williams as President
for four years. In the year 2001, NR. Hayes became President of the Grand Matrons Council. NR. Hayes was the 1st Vice President
for the Rose of Seven Seals Auxiliary for three years. NR. Hayes was appointed 1st Associate Supreme Grand Matron by Sis.
Tubbs and is presently the 2nd Associate Supreme Grand Matron under appointment by Sis. Patricia Hollowell, Supreme Grand
Matron. President and CEO of this great organization Dr. George Mathews 33° awarded NR. Hayes “mini presidential power.”
Under NR. Hayes’ leadership as Grand Matron, the District Grand Matrons Council and the Worthy Matrons Council were
organized in Florida. NR. Hayes was the organizer and founder of the Florida International
Choir. NR. Hayes belongs to every department and auxiliary a female
can belong to in this organization and is active in all of them. NR. Hayes has set up three youth courts and has been instrumental
in getting several others established. There have been
72 new chapters and 10 revised chapters under her leadership. Throughout her tenure, the sisterhood of Florida has increased and the state has maintained the status as the #1 state in growth each year consecutively.
NR. Hayes has received many accolades and awards for being the number one Grand Matron in this organization.


ILL. BOBBIE J. MEEKS: ILL. Bobbie J. Meeks, 33⁰, was born on January 13, 1947, in Thomasville, Ga. He received his education in Miami
Dade County. He served two years in the Armed Services where he received an Honorable
Discharge. He joined the Miami Police Department; and recently retired as a Major of Police after thirty-four years of service.
He joined the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons and the Eastern Star in 1984. He held the positions of Senior Deacon, Senior Warden, and still holds the Worshipful Master’s
Station in Israel Lodge #55. After being in the Organization for a period of two to three years, Ill. Meeks quickly moved
into the Exalted Degree Department where he was elected to several offices in the Royal Arch and Knight Templar Departments.
He was elected as Deputy Grand Master for
St. James Grand Lodge for the state of Florida
in 1992. He served in that position until the Grand Master, Ill. Renford P. Brown, 33°, passed away in January 2008. The St.
James Grand Lodge was renamed to honor the Ill. Renford P. Brown and Ill. Bobbie Meeks took over the responsibilities and
duties of Grand Master. He was obligated as a thirty-second degree Mason and took the journey across the hot sands of the
desert in 1990, where he holds the office of Supreme Deputy Imperial Potentate. In 1994 he became a member of the prestigious
Supreme Council of the Holy Empire Thirty-Third and Last Degree in masonry. Also, he has the honor of being the Supreme Security
Director for International F. & A. M. Masons and O. E. S. He works diligently in every department for growth and the betterment
